Malu, a slave girl, and her companion Garth journey through a burning desert toward the mighty fortress of Ormuz, attempting to reach the Banquet of Thuz while evading vengeful Tarconians. After finding refuge at a desert oasis, Malu is captured and brought to a slave market in Nanoch, where she is threatened with being sold at auction. Imprisoned in one of Phao's dungeons, Malu must escape while Garth faces his own perils in this exotic land of adventure.
