Mark Trail on Safari #5

Mark Trail and his guide venture into African safari territory where they discover a gorilla and encounter a dangerous situation involving army ants. Trail devises a plan to use the meat as bait to lure the ants away from the camp before they can devour their food supplies and attack the humans. The expedition faces further peril when they are captured by indigenous warriors who have killed a gorilla they worship and now seek revenge, threatening to execute Trail and his companions.
