Marmaduke Mouse #18

The issue features a story in which Marmaduke Mouse and his friend King Louie become entangled in a series of misadventures stemming from romantic complications and a treasure hunt. After Marmaduke's attempts to court Miss Chickie go awry, he gets into a fight with King Louie over roses intended as a romantic gift. Later, Marmaduke discovers that King Louie's grandfather left a map to a gold mine, prompting the two friends to set out together seeking the fortune, with Marmaduke agreeing to split the proceeds if they find it. The story culminates in their departure in a green automobile heading west to search for the mine.
