Marmaduke Mouse #31

In the main "Marmaduke Mouse" story, King Louie wants to play chess but Marmaduke prefers playing with his commoner friend Pudd instead, prompting Louie to forbid the friendship due to royal protocol. After Marmaduke sneaks out to see Pudd, Louie chases them through town, where Marmaduke receives a telegram and briefly pretends to be a millionaire to win Louie's favor before the deception is revealed. In the backup "Marmaduke Land King Louie" adventure, Marmaduke and King Louie engage in a competitive boat race to prove whose vessel is faster, with Louie boasting about his technological superiority while Marmaduke relies on the wind to power his sailboat.
