*Marty* #1 is a photo-romance weekly featuring two complete romantic photo-stories. "Romance in the Air" follows a long-time Radio Luxemburg fan who gets the chance to attend an actual radio broadcast, where she becomes caught up in romantic complications involving a man named Ian. "Reach for a Star" continues a serial about a girl seeking stardom in London; in this installment, she travels to Dismay to see a man named Marty, but faces emotional turmoil when she must choose between her ambitions and her feelings for him, ultimately reuniting with him after a period of separation and misunderstanding.
