Masked Raider #1

The main story "Masked Raider and Talon the Golden Eagle" follows a masked vigilante who stakes his land claim on a flying eagle in competition with others, pursuing the bird across dangerous terrain. When a mysterious rider appears to be in an "awful hurry," the Masked Raider pursues him, leading to a confrontation where the rider is revealed to be a young man named Les who claims the eagle caused his father's death. The issue also includes a humorous backup story "Slim Jim and Roly-Poly" in which Slim Jim's attempts to prepare wild coyote for dinner at a bar-b-que go awry when Roly-Poly interferes, ultimately resulting in peace between the two characters and a successful barbecue celebration.
