This anthology issue contains "Fighting Indian Stories" featuring a tale of Ann Dickson, a skilled frontierswoman who finds her horse tethered downstream and parts ways with her companion Mark. When railroad agent Belzer offers her only five thousand dollars instead of the authorized sum for her land, Ann and Mark devise a trap to catch him in his scheme. The story culminates in a violent confrontation where cowboys and outlaws clash in a gunfight to determine who will control the disputed property.
