Military Comics #27 This issue features "Blackhawk and The Flying Fool," in which a man from the island of Rataku who lost his country joins forces with the Blackhawks. The man reveals his people's legend that when volcano Rataku begins to erupt, an invader from their land will appear and destroy them, and he believes now is the time. The Blackhawks attempt to stop the rebellion before it begins by sailing to Rataku in a small boat. The issue also contains a naval combat story in which American PT boats engage a Japanese destroyer in battle, with one torpedo-armed boat successfully attacking the enemy vessel while other PT boats penetrate the destroyer screen to attack slow-moving troop transports.
