This anthology contains at least two horror tales: "Modern Design" follows an architect who becomes obsessed with a modern lamp design commissioned by a client named Steele, only to discover it produces haunting musical sounds that turn out to be the anguished notes of a dead composer trapped within the instrument. In another story, a woman named Devoe contacts her husband John through a séance conducted by a swami, but the supernatural encounter reveals darker truths about their past connection and forces her to make a fateful choice regarding her renewed faith in the spirit world.
