Modern Comics #68

Modern Comics #68 features two main stories. In "Blackhawk Sets a Trap for Trapp," the police chief offers Officer Flannigan a big case and a five-hundred-dollar reward to catch a notorious criminal named Bragg, but Flannigan suspects the chief is setting him up and attempts to manipulate the situation by working with a woman and using bait to ensure he can collect the reward without being outsmarted. In "Dogtag," a press reporter encounters Martians invading Earth and is fired by his editor for trying to report the alien invasion, only to discover that a mysterious bearded artist and a young boy are members of a secret order called the Order of the Crossed Eye, whose initiation will take place the following day.
