Modern Comics #96

Modern Comics #96 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. The Blackhawk story opens with the Knights of the Air confronting a dangerous opponent named Spectra and her scheming terrorists in a mountainous stronghold. A second story follows a woman on horseback carrying a banner to an orphans' home, where she attempts a daring rescue involving a horse and a "Dead End" property sign. The issue concludes with a Will Bragg story in which the titular character, an artist, attempts to win an art association's annual contest despite lacking formal training.
