Monte Hale - Pioneer Marshal #1

Marshal Edward Sherwood encounters Ted and his companions near Santa Dolores and recognizes one of them as Ed Sherwood, a Dallas marshal he knew in his reckless youth. Ted's group is revealed to be working with the brutal outlaw Clip, who is watching their movements from a hilltop. After discovering that one of Clip's men is posing as a lawman wearing a marshal's badge, Sherwood teams up with his old acquaintance to stop Clip and his gang. The story culminates in a confrontation at New Chicago, where Sherwood and his allies work to apprehend the outlaws and rescue Sue from their control.
