Monte Hale Western #66

Monte Hale discovers an old trapper named Muskrat Barks and learns that the man was shot by his former partner, a young outlaw named Jagger Dawson, who stole money from their joint venture and fled into the mountains. Monte pursues Dawson to recover the stolen money, and after a confrontation, defeats him. The recovered funds allow Muskrat to rebuild his burned house and replace his tent, bringing the elderly trapper relief and gratitude.
