Monty Hall of the U.S. Marines #1

Monty Hall and his fellow Marines Tex and Canarsie must stop a moving train after discovering a murdered man aboard and learning that a killer has jumped from the window. When they board the train, they find the body of Jeff Gery, a civilian, who has been killed by a man named Shifty Eyes—a criminal who was being transported and managed to escape by jumping from the train. Monty deduces that Shifty Eyes plans to hide on the train's undercarriage and retrieve the body later to prevent testimony before a Senate Crime Investigating Committee. The issue concludes with a pin-up feature and a separate story involving "the mystery of the Orient" centered on a woman named Hazel O'Toole from Brooklyn.
