Motion Picture Comics 107 Frisco Tornado #1

"Rocky" Lane, the new marshal, arrives in town to deal with the biggest crook causing trouble—a man named Jim Crail who runs an insurance racket, offering protection to ranchers at exorbitant rates. Rocky takes the stagecoach run to confront Crail and his gang, discovering that Crail has planted a man with a gun on the stage. After foiling this attempt and catching the armed accomplice, Rocky sets a trap by appearing to accept Crail's bribe while actually working to expose the entire operation. The story culminates with action at the stage stop as Rocky prevents Crail from executing his scheme and Jean (the young woman involved) gets caught in the crossfire.
