Murder Incorporated #1 The main story follows a criminal gang's bungled attempt to eliminate a witness named Murphy. After Murphy survives a hit and is hospitalized, the gang plots to poison him with wood alcohol-soaked oysters, but Murphy inadvertently recovers and escapes. The story concludes with the gang pursuing Murphy across Texas, where he is cornered at a gas station and apparently killed in a confrontation involving a woman in a red dress and members of the gang.
