This is an anthology of true crime stories. The opening story depicts a criminal scheme involving insurance fraud and a getaway by car that ends in tragedy when the female accomplice, Maureen, is killed in a collision while attempting to escape with the stolen money. Another story features a man who discovers hidden money and becomes increasingly paranoid and violent toward those around him, ultimately leading to a tragic outcome involving the concealment of a murder weapon and money in a hiding place.
