Margie and her boyfriend Pat go for a romantic moonlit drive, but their perfect evening is interrupted when Pat's car breaks down near a junk yard. A mechanic retrieves what appears to be an old car from the yard to tow Pat's vehicle, but the junk car's engine explodes in the process, leaving Margie stranded and forcing her to walk home. The issue also includes "The Dude Ranch," a text story about horseback riding instruction at a ranch, and a backup story where Margie daydreams about married life while her mother arrives with her young nephew Joey, eventually asking Margie to babysit him.
