The issue contains two main stories. In "Men Gave Me Jewels," a woman narrates how her physical beauty led men to shower her with jewelry, but she fell deeply in love with Reggie Jordan, who used her as a showpiece until she discovered his infidelity; she ultimately finds true love with a man who values her for herself rather than her appearance. In a second story, a man named Joe discovers his fiancée Sheila has been unfaithful with another man; after confronting her, Joe leaves, but Sheila's heartbreak and regret lead her to realize she has lost the man she truly loves.
