Synopsis These three interconnected stories explore romantic entanglements and their consequences. The first tale follows Wendy, who has exhausted herself completing house renovations while her husband Bob works away, only to discover upon his return that he had been unfaithful, leading to a confrontation about their troubled marriage. The second narrative concerns Margaret, a woman whose refusal to marry Dick years earlier has haunted him into adulthood; when Dick finally encounters her again at university, romantic complications ensue involving his current romantic interest Sherry and Margaret's own emotional turmoil.
