Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds #38

This issue contains two science fiction stories. "The Mud Monster" depicts a child's discovery of a sentient mud creature that has lain dormant for centuries; when rain awakens it, hunters and a man named Actus attempt to destroy the creature, but it is ultimately washed away by a storm. In the second story, Captain Troy's space exploration mission leads him to an uncharted planet where he discovers a race of human-like robots created in a laboratory; upon returning home six months later, he finds the planet destroyed, and realizes the robots were conditioned for space exploration, making him question his own humanity.
