Mysteries Weird and Strange #8 is an anthology featuring three supernatural tales. "The Devil's Birthmark" follows Geoffrey Powers, a man cursed with an evil mark who must kill someone each night or face damnation, leading him to call the police with a confession. In an unnamed story, a mad scientist attempts to resurrect corpses using a formula, stealing bodies from graves and conducting experiments in his laboratory until he is caught by authorities. "Happily Dead" tells of Harry Bates, who learns he is dead and cannot accept it, eventually finding solace in his new undead state after a doctor's examination reveals his complete lack of vital signs.
