New Heroic Comics #48

This issue contains stories of heroic men and women performing daring rescue and action feats. One story follows Maxwell, who rescues a drowning boy from an icy pond by breaking through the ice, then must navigate through the frozen water to reach shore while the boy clings to him. Another narrative depicts a pilot crash-landing and becoming trapped in a steel wreckage, with a character named "Clitz" dragging the unconscious pilot away from encroaching flames. A third story features Weisenberger, a detective who must contend with an armed, crazed woman threatening violence, ultimately preventing her from shooting and earning commendation for his work.
