New Heroic Comics #92

New Heroic Comics #92 is an anthology featuring stories of ordinary people performing heroic acts in dangerous situations. "The Worry Bird" follows Lieut. Charles, a Flying Fortress pilot whose damaged bomber is held together by only four struts and a catwalk after suffering a direct hit during a bombing run over Reims; with the elevator and rudder cables shot away, Charles and his co-pilot must work together to save the crippled aircraft and its crew, guided by Charles's concern for his wife awaiting the birth of their child back home. Additional stories include one about a character named Gene who rescues a drowning boy from water, and another about a boy named Stevie who bravely rescues his playmate Jackie from being wedged between pipes inside a building.
