New Heroic Comics #96
An anthology of true heroic stories depicting ordinary people performing daring acts in hazardous situations. One story follows eight-year-old Jo Ann, who risks choking to death when a rope becomes caught around her neck at a fence post, prompting nearby adults to act quickly to free her before tragedy strikes. Another account features a fourteen-year-old boy from Fort Worth, Texas named Charles Courtney who discovers a fire in a fire-gutted apartment building and alerts residents to the danger. A third story depicts a young boy who slips on icy pavement directly into the path of an oncoming delivery truck during heavy snow, narrowly avoiding being struck as the vehicle barely misses him.
