In the "Noodnik Sales Resistance" story, a scheming character plans to sell a beat-up old refrigerator for fifty dollars by tricking naive Eskimos, then takes shelter in an igloo where he encounters a child and attempts to con the family. When the child's mother returns home, the con artist tries to sell her "dick soup," claiming he can resell it to the child, then pivots to hawking a sled to the family. In a separate story involving Deputy "Nuk," an investigation unfolds when unusual handprints are discovered in the snow around a camp, leading the deputy and others to track down a mysterious suspect.
