Nyoka the Jungle Girl #21

Synopsis Nyoka attempts to stop fighting between rival jungle tribes by recovering a stolen golden spear that once belonged to a great chief, believing its return will restore peace. She learns the spear was taken by white traders long ago, and agrees to find and return it to end the conflict. In a separate story, "Smala Defeat," Colonel Jacques Bon-Coeur of the French Foreign Legion works with writer John Lewis to investigate weapons smuggling and unrest among native tribes in Morocco, discovering that the Smala tribesmen have sacked the city of Oued Zem and fled to the desert, prompting a military response.
