A man named Jack becomes jealous when his girlfriend Mary shows interest in another suitor, Paul Benson, a young banker. Jack and his friend Tom devise a scheme to test which girl is truly jealous by pretending to court both Mary and her friend Jenny at a party. The plan backfires when Mary realizes Jack's deception, and after confronting him at Club Padua, she forgives him when he admits he loves her, leading to their reconciliation.
