This issue is an anthology containing at least two stories. "The Sacred Rope!" recounts eerie tales from the yellowed records of African slave vessels, focusing on a supernatural curse whereby enslaved people invoke their ancestors' wrath upon their captors aboard a slave ship in 1794, resulting in the crew meeting gruesome fates at sea. "Howard's Vengeance" depicts a man and woman plotting to murder an elderly man named Howard by exploiting a weak heart condition, engineering what appears to be a perfect crime, only to encounter supernatural retribution from forces of natural justice that transforms their intended victims into corpses of their own making.
