An anthology of science fiction and supernatural tales. "Out of This World" features Thor discovering a magical hammer-like object in a cave that grants him strange powers. "Counsel from the Spirit" depicts college students who mock their classmate Cliff's belief in a spirit idol from his uncle's African collection, then attempt to use the idol to conjure a spirit to impress a girl, with unexpected consequences. A third story involves criminals hiding stolen treasure and detectives pursuing them, with the loot eventually discovered in a water drain.
