Out of This World #8

A man awakens after sleeping for three hundred years to find himself on a spaceship approaching a new planet in the future. The ship's captain explains that mankind left Earth long ago, and this vessel has been searching for a habitable world; the captain tasks the awakened man with investigating the new planet they've discovered. The story is titled "Phantom Cargo" and follows the man's mission to explore this strange world and determine its potential for human settlement.
