This issue contains multiple Western stories. "Green Gold" follows a criminal named Slim Crane who kills a man and flees into the hills, where he encounters a mountain lion that attacks him; a sheriff later pursues Crane, determined to capture him dead or alive. Another story depicts Tom Swore tracking a mountain lion that has attacked his brother, with assistance from a woman who insists on joining his hunt despite the danger. A third story follows an expedition to the Emerald Mine, where climbing preparations are made at a river dock base camp, and the climbers begin their ascent up a mountain the next morning.
