Percy and Ferdie #1

Created by H. M. Gill, this comic follows the misadventures of Percy and Ferdie as they attempt to make extra income by renting out rooms while their landlady, Mrs. Pruhn, is away on vacation. In "Cash In Advance," they advertise rooms to transient boarders, collecting payment upfront from prospective tenants who all resemble one another. The story escalates when a film company representative arrives requesting permission to shoot scenes in their boarding house, leading to a series of chaotic encounters. Throughout the issue, Percy and Ferdie's schemes repeatedly backfire, including a failed hypnosis attempt on the landlady's cat and various encounters with Mr. Morganbilty, a creditor from whom they attempt to borrow money.
