Peter Wheat rides a grasshopper mount in a race against Beetle to Sammy Sweet's Bakery, with a chocolate cupcake as the prize. When Beetle mysteriously disappears during the race, Peter and Sammy discover evidence of a struggle and giant red ants, who have apparently captured Beetle. Peter and Sammy mount a rabbit and pursue the ants to rescue their friend, racing against time before the ants carry him away.
