Phantom #1

The Phantom confronts Prince Achmed Singh and his criminal Singh Brotherhood, who have come to America. Diana Palmer becomes entangled with Prince Achmed after he presents himself as a charming foreign nobleman, but Jimmy (the Phantom's associate) warns her against trusting him. After learning from an old man that the Singh Brotherhood are descendants of legendary pirate enemies of the Phantom dating back 300 years, the Phantom emerges from hiding to battle Wing Loo and the criminals. Diana is rescued by the Phantom, though she remains unaware of his true identity, and after the old man Dr. Dodd explains the Phantom is a centuries-old myth, she must decide whether to pursue the mysterious vigilante or heed warnings to stay away from things she cannot understand.
