Police Against Crime #9 is an anthology issue featuring multiple crime stories. One story follows Detective Dan Coffey investigating a series of jewelry district robberies, culminating in a dangerous confrontation on a swaying platform where he apprehends one of the crooks. Another story involves the police investigating actress June Manning in connection with the murder of her colleague Reggie Fairchild at a Broadway theater, discovering clues about her whereabouts and movements on the day of the crime. A third story, "Duncan Stuart, M.D.: Walk the Plank!", features the titular doctor becoming entangled with Caribbean pirates and smugglers while on vacation in the Pentaga Islands.
