Polly Pigtails #23
In "Tabby Sets a Trap," written by Marie L. Coleman, Joan's family initially dismisses her cat Tabby as merely a mousetrap and nuisance until Tabby proves otherwise. A character named Perky goes missing, and after an afternoon advertisement is placed describing him, Perky is found safe. In "No Place for a Stranger," Molly and her friends Buzz, Lissy, Chuck, and Tink become exhausted while snowshoeing and seek shelter at the nearby Lampson home, where the motherly Mrs. Lampson welcomes them with warmth, hot chocolate, and a crackling fire, ultimately offering Molly the nickname "Flick" as the girls bond before departing.
