Poppo of the Popcorn Theatre #5

In "Poppo Getting the Hook," Poppo and the children face criticism from a theater manager and performers who are unhappy with their act, with the manager threatening to cancel their engagement and demanding they improve their performance or leave. Desperate to save the show, Poppo goes to Mr. Ditchum requesting a poster to prove they have talent, offering him money, but Mr. Ditchum accepts only a small bribe of fifty dollars to help. "Poppo's Hateful Tricks" features the clown demonstrating various magic illusions to children, including a flying card trick, a "magnetic hand" trick, and a toothpick-in-handkerchief trick that appears to restore a broken object.
