Range Rider #13

The issue features two stories. In the main comic narrative, a young boy named Bill Baker is held hostage by a gang that forces him to perform dangerous tasks, including riding a wild horse named Snake Hips; the Range Rider works to rescue him from the criminals' clutches. The second story, "Mitchell's Saddle," is a text feature recounting a historical anecdote about a decorated saddle owned by bronc rider Mitch Mitchell that was awarded first prize at Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 4, 1908, detailing how Mitchell earned it through a dramatic display of horsemanship.
