Real Life Comics #19

This anthology issue contains two historical adventure stories. The first story follows Major Walter Reed and his associates as they work to eliminate yellow fever in Havana, building a house to test transmission of the disease and ultimately proving that mosquitoes carry yellow fever, ending two hundred years without a single case in Havana. The second story depicts Colonel Ludvik Svoboda leading Czech soldiers against Nazi invaders during World War II, with flashbacks showing Svoboda's earlier military campaigns through Turkey and Mongolia before his final stand against the Germans. Both tales present historical military and scientific figures engaged in battles—one against disease and one against fascism.
