In "Death Walked on Four Feet," Cynthia Cowan defies her father's ultimatum to marry Ronald Laine by fleeing to Africa. She arrives in Nairobi and hires a guide named Stan Tilson to lead a safari into the jungle, unaware that Ronald has followed her. In "Sabu 'Elephant Boy,'" Sabu confronts a winged monster attacking him on a cliff edge and is aided by a mysterious jungle prince who helps him defeat the creature; the prince then guides Sabu to safety and asks him to stay at a temple while he pursues a usurper, warning that his father's death will not return to the chapel until the usurper is defeated.
