An anthology of reprinted stories, this issue features "Conacher of Canada," in which coach Lionel Conacher leads the Toronto Argonauts football team to victory in fall 1921, then later coaches the Toronto Aura Lee hockey team to victory over the Granites. "The Upside-Down Pell," a humorous story about a red goose named Patrick who becomes dizzy in the air and repeatedly falls from a tree, eventually using a magic flute and four-leaf clover to overcome his predicament. A historical tale of "One-Man Army" Peter Francisco, a soldier who fought untrained and wounded in the American Revolutionary War, bayonetting enemies at Brandywine and trudging through enemy territory to join General Gates at Camden, ultimately saving the French nobleman Lafayette.
