This issue features two stories: "Chief Joseph—Scourge of the U.S. Cavalry" depicts Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce leading his warriors against three U.S. cavalry generals in combat across forested terrain and through villages, with a focus on hand-to-hand combat and tactical warfare. "Death at Silver Falls" follows Redskin, a dauntless warrior with a magic bow and silver-tipped arrows, as he pursues bank robbers who have looted Rock City's funds and fled toward Silver Falls, culminating in a confrontation where Flaming Arrow kills the criminal La Franche while attempting to recover the stolen money.
