This collection of comic strips by Gene Byrnes features three separate stories centered on mischievous children. In "Maybe They Won't Take It Back," a man gives a young boy a baby doll, which the boy attempts to return to Aunt Maggie's house, hoping she won't discover the deception. "An' Maybe We Won't Have Fun!" follows a boy sent to the grocery store for paper who instead uses the money to buy candy, then worries about the consequences when he gets home. "Jimmie Knows They're Clean" depicts a boy attempting to cook breakfast for his mother and then trying to pass off unwashed fish as clean by claiming fish live in water and therefore cannot get dirty.
