Robin Hood and His Merry Men #29 is an anthology featuring two stories. The first story follows Robin Hood and a charlatan as they encounter an overfed tax collector who has stolen coins, with Robin Hood and his men working to recover the King's gold. The second story features King Arthur preparing for a final confrontation with Sir Modred at Salisbury Down, during which the ghost of Sir Gawain appears to Arthur and urges him to fight Modred the next day, promising that Sir Lancelot will arrive with reinforcements, ultimately leading to a successful parley between Arthur and Modred that postpones their battle for a month.
