Rocky Lane and his stallion Black Jack encounter an ill-tempered outlaw named Rad Cliffs in town, who has been causing trouble around the territory. After a confrontation involving a web-foot trap, Rad Cliffs uses a powdered chemical compound (sodium hydroxide) in a scheme that Rocky Lane must investigate. Over the following days, Rocky Lane pursues the case by searching Rad Cliffs's hideout and discovers evidence related to the outlaw's criminal activities.
