Rocky Lane Western #73

Rocky Lane discovers that his friend Matt Hawkins has agreed to fight a gunman named Luke over an insult, and Rocky must prevent the duel. Rocky tracks down Luke and learns he was swindled by a gang operating a con game that targets ranchers, luring them into gambling losses and then into forced labor schemes to recover their money. Rocky poses as a stranger to infiltrate the gang's operation, wins their confidence through cards, and uncovers their method of using a traveling saloon to run the scam on unsuspecting cattlemen across the region. After exposing the operation, Rocky clears Matt's name and resolves the conflict that nearly led to bloodshed.
