This anthology issue contains at least two stories. "Love Is for the Living" depicts a man confronting his former lover's apparition by the seaside, where she expresses her inability to compete with his living love. In another story, a woman named Nina works at a carnival where she becomes involved with a man named Lee; when Lee leaves to pursue Broadway dreams, Nina discovers he has abandoned her for another woman and seeks revenge by joining the police force, ultimately encountering Lee again when he becomes a fugitive.
