A nurse named Cora becomes involved with a married film director named Arthur who claims to be overworked and distracted, but she discovers his arm is in a sling because of an injury unrelated to work. When Terry, a surgeon, falls in love with Cora, she must choose between the two men while grappling with her feelings and responsibilities.
