Romantic Love #12 This issue contains at least two stories. "Substitute Husband" follows Claire Underhill, who believed her husband Joe Baxter was killed in action, only to learn he is alive. When Joe's friend Don Crosby proposes marriage to her, Claire accepts, but Joe's return forces her to choose between her new husband and her supposed first love. "Too Young for Him!" depicts a woman's relationship with an older man she had a childhood crush on; years later, when he expresses romantic interest, she initially considers a secret romance but ultimately decides to end the relationship, feeling the age gap makes them incompatible.
